Metadata has 3 different campaign status types:
- Draft
- Launched - In progress
- Launched - Completed
There are also 3 different experiment status types:
- Active
- Paused
- Completed
Campaign Status:
Draft:
Once you create a new campaign the status will go into Draft mode. The campaign will remain in Draft mode where you can make changes until you are ready to launch the campaign.
Launched - In progress:
Once you launch a campaign the status will move to Launched - In progress. From here the campaign will remain as Launched - In progress until the end date passes. Note while a campaign is Launched - In progress its status will not changed if the related experiments are Paused as there could be some that are currently under Active and others under Paused, once the end date passes then the campaign status will move to Completed.
Launched - Completed:
Once the end date of the campaign passes the campaign status will be moved to Launched - Completed.
Experiment Status:
Active:
Once a campaign is launched the resulting experiments that are created will move to Active. This means that they are currently Active in the channel.
Paused:
When an experiment is currently active it can be moved to Paused. Once Paused the experiment will no longer be active in the channel.
Paused statuses:
- OPTIMIZER_MONTHLY_CAP = The budget group has reached the monthly cap amount and the experiment will resume at the start of the next month.
- MANUAL_PAUSE = The experiment has been manually paused. See Activity Log to find out who paused it.
- LOW_BUDGET = The experiment was paused by our AI because there wasn't enough daily budget (<$10) allocated to produce meaningful results. See the logic for the pause here.
- LOW PERFORMANCE = The experiment breached your auto-pause rules.
Completed:
Once the campaign end date passes the experiments will move to Completed.
