- Lead appears in marketing automation tool however, UTM values are missing
Explanation:
Most commonly, this issue occurs in environments where synchronization is enabled between the marketing automation tool and social channels.
In this case, the lead will automatically be pushed from the social channel directly to the marketing automation tool before being processed by metadata.
There is often some confusion at this point because it appears as though metadata has not pushed the UTM values to the marketing automation tool.
However, it's usually just that metadata has not yet finished processing and pushing the converted lead with UTM values in to the marketing automation tool.
Resolution:
This issue should resolve itself once metadata processes and pushes the lead to the marketing automation tool.
You can verify whether metadata has processed and pushed a specific lead by visiting the Converted Leads page and verifying the MA Sync status (column).
