While setting up Lead Generation Landing Page Offers it is important for the fields to match the fields on your Landing Page. If they do not match Leads will not convert since the field mapping does not match.
To get started first create a new Lead Generation Landing Page Offer:
Enter your Landing Page URL and click Retrieve Form Fields:
We will attempt to detect the fields automatically on your Landing Page, but in some cases we won't be able to retrieve them and you may need to use "Add mapping" which requires manually mapping the field:
To manually map the fields if they are not detected:
Go to your Landing Page and right click the field you wish to manually map if it can't be detected and choose inspect:
Contained in the elements for that field use the ID value:
In this example Email address is et_pb_contact_email_0
Copy this value and add it to Add mapping and assign to Email:
Do this for all other fields you wish to manually map.
It is important for the ID value on your Landing Page to be mapped correctly if the value is different for example, if you put "Email address" in the field instead, then the Lead would fail to be captured since the field mapping does not match.
After successfully creating the Offer, run a test to ensure there are no issues with the field mapping:
If there are issues with the field mapping, you will see a warning like this:
Landing Page email source - This will be the field mapping source from your landing page and how the field was received
Landing Page other fields source - This will be the field mapping source from your landing page and how all other fields were received
This can be used to compare to ensure the field mapping has been configured correctly on the Offer.
