Understanding Job Title Search Results
Our job search functionality is designed to be flexible and intuitive, helping you find relevant positions even when job titles vary across companies. Here's how it works:
Exact Matching
When you search for a job title, our system looks for that title within the "Job Title" field of each posting. For example:
- If you search for "Backend Developer":
- It will match exact titles like "Backend Developer"
- It will also find titles that include your search term, such as "Senior Backend Developer" or "Backend Developer, Cloud Services"
- If you search for "Frontend Engineer":
- It will match exact titles like "Frontend Engineer"
- It will also find titles like "Lead Frontend Engineer" or "Frontend Engineer, UI/UX"
Broad Matching
Our search is smart enough to recognize that job titles often contain multiple words. It will return results that contain all the words you've entered, even if they're not in the exact order. For instance:
- Searching for "Demand Generation Manager" will return "Manager, Demand Generation" or "Digital Demand Generation Manager"
- Searching for "Accounting" will return "Accounting Manager", "Senior Accounting Analyst", or "Director of Accounting"
