As part of improvements to our native campaign structure, Metadata will begin setting an additional tracking identifier (md_nid) via our lead capture script. This identifier is stored in the browser alongside the existing metadata_cid and is used solely to support accurate campaign attribution and reporting.
What this means for you:
- This applies only if you are using the Metadata landing page lead capture script.
- No changes are required to your implementation.
- You may need to update your cookie or consent notices to reflect this additional tracking, based on your internal compliance requirements.
There is no change to how data is used or shared, and tracking remains limited to users who arrive via Metadata-managed campaigns.
