Integrating Salesforce is a simple & effective way to create an Ideal Customer Profile, create audiences and sync your CRM data with the platform. This integration is one directional, read only. Our patented, machine learning algorithm enriches Salesforce data to pinpoint target companies and contacts. On the other end, all opportunities and $ associated with leads that are generated from campaigns run through the platform will be synced back. The system reads the default contact, opportunity & account objects in salesforce in order to show attribution. Last but not the least, the integration also allows to build audiences (static or dynamic) from accounts and opportunities fields in your salesforce, this will help minimize manual and repetitive tasks such as downloading and uploading CSVs. |
Checklist to prepare your account for Salesforce Integration
Step 1 - Edition
Make sure that your SalesForce edition has API access.
Step 2 - API Enabled
Please make sure that API is enabled on the user or the permission set level.
Step 3 - Permissions (Fields)
Your user account needs to have at least the following permissions:
- View All Data contained in the following object and system fields at minimum click here
- API Only User
- For Accounts & Opportunities if there are custom fields you would like to build audiences on please make sure those are also available to the logged-in User
To validate that permissions have been set accordingly with Fields if you navigate here and click New Salesforce Criteria -> select the Account OR Opportunity object and try to search for the field. If you don't see the field here that means the user logged into the Integration doesn't have permissions to see it.
Step 4 - Connect Salesforce and Metadata
- Go to the Integrations page
- Select Salesforce
- Click Next
- Click Connect
- Enter your Salesforce username and password
- Click Log In
To disconnect
You can disconnect any time by coming to the Integration page and clicking "Disconnect" link.
