SAML/SSO - User linking process

After completing the migration for Metadata SAML/SSO to complete the process so users can start logging in please follow these steps.

Note: It is required for the user to have already logged into the platform 1 time which creates the necessary user record in our authentication service. If the user has not logged in before and runs into issues during the login process please reach out to [e-mail].

1. From your SSO provider launch the Metadata App you have created for the user that needs to login
2. The user will be prompted to Link the Metadata user <> Your SSO provider select Continue:

3. After selecting Continue, you will be prompted to enter your Username/password for the Metadata platform. This is the original username/password that you set during the original registration with the platform and will only need to be completed one time.

4. After logging in successfully click log out

5. Go back to your SSO provider and launch the Metadata app

6. You will no longer be required to enter your username/password and the app will automatically login now and be successfully setup to use SSO.
