Converting your LinkedIn Ad Account into LinkedIn Business Manager allows you to more efficiently manage access to your ad account and share assets with Metadata. In addition, LinkedIn business Manager links all your ad accounts and pages on one dashboard.
Note: You will not need to reset your ad accounts and page, nor will this impact live campaigns, billing, or data. More importantly, you will not lose access to existing pages or accounts.

Creating business manager
Step 1 - Create Your Business Manager Account
Go to LinkedIn Business Manager and enter the account name and your work email address.
Step 2 - Choose the roles of people in your business manager
You can invite multiple people at once by adding commas in between the emails. The people you invited will need to accept the invitation that is sent to their email address.
Note: These individuals will retain the same permissions they had on the ad account and page level before the business manager was created.
Step 3 - Invite Your Employees
Click on the invite people tab to invite the employees who weren’t on the ad account or page.
Step 4: Add your ad accounts
You can connect your ad account by inputting the ad account id or a CSV upload. To find your ad account id navigate to https://www.linkedin.com/campaignmanager and located below your account name will be the ID.
Step 5: Approve ad account request
Navigate to the Campaign Manager page and click on your profile picture on the top right and select business manager requests and approve the request.
Step 6: Add Company Page
Navigate back to your business manager page and then select pages. You can select add a page if the page belongs to your company. When adding your page it will ask to input the URL of your page to find this navigate here: https://www.linkedin.com/campaignmanager and under the Company Name column will be a link to your page, click this and then copy this URL and input it into the Add Page back in your business manager.
Note: You must be an existing super admin to your business manager before access can be granted.
Step 7 Approve Business Manager Page Request.
Navigate to your company page and select the Admin Tools menu and then choose Manage Admins.
Step 8: Share Partness Access with Metadata.
Navigate back to your business manager page and Partners. Enter Metadata’s Business Manager ID of 6966127163913715712. Then share the ad account and pages with Metadata.
When sharing your Ad account please share permission as:
- Account Manager
When sharing your Page please share permissions as:
- Sponsored Content Poster
- Lead Gen Manager
Now not only will you have better visibility into who has access to your accounts, but you will also be able to better share access to your assets.
